This Friday, the Story County GOP needs your help! We need people to walk in the Ames July 4 parade. The parade begins at 11 am, and we will meet at9 am to get the parade set up. Ames has asked each entry to pick a decade; the GOP float will be partying like it’s 1984, complete with a Ronald Reagan cardboard stand up and 1980’s tunes blasting from the float. We need lots of individuals to carry poles donning our candidates’ signage, toss candy to adoring throngs of children, and hand out 5,000 notepads for Jeremy Davis’s state senate campaign.
Please let Jeff Ortiz know if you will be able to help out this Friday morning. You can contact him on his Facebook page.
Governor Terry Branstad will be the special guest at a reception in support of Jeremy Davis’s campaign for the Iowa Senate. The reception will take place on July 15 from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm at the Iowa House at 405 Hayward Avenue in Ames.
